Basil/Tulsi is very effective in bringing down body temperature in fever symptoms and very safe for children too. Basil/Tulsi has antimicrobial properties which is a sure shot and excellent treatment for all kinds of fever. 

Basil/Tulsi is an outstanding anti biotic, disinfectant, germicidal, and fungicidal. Basil/Tulsi has potential to defend our body from almost all kinds of viral, bacterial and fungal infections which cause fever, cold, cough and other viral diseases.

Why Basil/ Tulsi?

Fever is mostly caused due to infections and viral attack from bacteria (in typhoid), protozoa (in malaria), viruses (in flu) and even allergic compounds and various funguses. In fact, fever is not a disease in itself; fever is just a warning sign/symptom which shows that your body is fighting against viruses and infections. Basil/Tulsi has incredible disinfectant, fungicidal and germicidal properties which destroys all these bacteria (in typhoid), protozoa (in malaria), viruses (in flu) and heals fever. 

1. Basil with honey
Take 9-20 fresh green Basil/Tulsi leaves and make fine paste of it or crush them, but do not waste the juice of it. Add 1 teaspoon of honey in this paste and consume. Do this 4-5 times a day to bring down the body temperature. Or consume this paste after every 1 hour.

2. Cardamom with basil
boil 10-15 fresh green basil/Tulsi leaves in 2 glass of water and add powdered cardamom  1 teaspoon (in case of adults) and ½ teaspoon (in case of children). Let the water reduce to half its total quantity. Also add 2 tablespoon of honey in this mixture when in become warm.  Consume ½ cup of this mixture every 1-2 hours. 

In case of infant, feed 1-2 tablespoon of this mixture with milk every 2 hours (3 times a day), in case of teens, feed 3 tablespoon of this mixture every 1-2 hours. 
3. Boil Tulsi water
Boil 12-15 fresh green basil/Tulsi leaves in glass of water for 5-10 minutes and add 2-3 tablespoon of honey in it when it become cool. Consume this mixture (½ cup every 1-2 hours). This mixture acts as prevention against malaria and dengue fever.

4. Basil with Black pepper
Boil 1 teaspoon of fresh basil paste and half teaspoon of black pepper powder in glass of water and let the water reduce to half its total quantity. Drink this warm mixture with 1 tablespoon of honey. Repeat this 2-3 times a day to reduce your fever.
